I’m a Chilean journalist, writer, and photographer currently based between Boston and New York. Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, I moved to Boston in 2022 to pursue a B.S. in Journalism with minors in Photography and Media Studies at Emerson College, graduating in Fall 2026.

My work is rooted in curiosity about people and the communities, cultures, and creative worlds they build. Across journalism and photography, I’m particularly drawn to stories exploring identity, migration, art, fashion, entertainment, community, and the ways culture shapes our sense of belonging. Whether I’m writing a profile, documenting a community, working with archival material, or developing a photographic project, I’m interested in finding personal and visually engaging ways to tell stories that might otherwise be overlooked.

During my time at Emerson, I explored these interests across writing, photography, editing, and community leadership. I served as President of AMIGOS, Emerson’s Latino student organization, from 2024–2025, and contributed writing, editing, and photography to campus publications including INDEX, YourMag, Developed Images, and Five Cent Sound. 

Photography has become an equally important part of my creative practice, particularly analog photography, portraiture, darkroom printing, and visual storytelling. At Emerson’s photography facilities, I worked as a Darkroom Assistant, supporting students with film development, darkroom printing, equipment, and digital editing while helping maintain the darkroom, studio, and photo lab. I was also in charge of running the darkroom’s official Instagram page, where I made and shared educational and engaging content for students. That experience sparked a broader interest in photography education and in creating accessible, collaborative spaces. I’ve continued exploring that interest as a current Teaching Assistant at the International Center of Photography.

My photography minor culminated in Vocación Transcendental, a thesis project exhibited at Emerson College’s Huret and Spector Gallery in 2025. Through analog portraiture, darkroom printing, and archival research, I explored migration, family history, resilience, and an inherited connection to photography across three generations of my family. The project reflects many of the themes that continue to shape my work: memory, cultural identity, movement between places, and the ways photography can connect personal histories to larger social experiences.

My editorial skills have allowed me to move between journalism and more experimental work. Since 2024, I have worked with Dreamworldgirl Zine as a print and blog editor and writer, editing pieces centered on topics such as girlhood, identity, fashion, and culture while contributing interviews, event coverage, and creative projects. 

During the Fall 2025 semester, I joined the Emerson Los Angeles program and worked as an editorial intern at Flaunt Magazine, where I strengthened my fact-checking, editing, research, and interview skills within arts, fashion, and entertainment journalism.

Since graduating, I’ve continued developing my practice through freelance writing and photography while taking on more creative projects with Dreamworldgirl Zine. My journalism work has been published by El Planeta Boston and the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism. My photography was recently featured in The Boston Globe’s Best of the Best 2026 list.
